Children Ages: 6-12yrs
In this camp, the artist will create about one painting each day to yield four paintings by the end of the week.
The artist will complete a landscape, Self-portrait, Still Life, and Abstract painting.

Get ready for a week full of creativity, color, and imagination! In Masterpiece Camp, young artists will explore famous techniques, styles, and mediums to create their very own masterpieces. Each day will focus on a different artist or movement, inspiring campers to experiment with painting, drawing, and more.
Perfect for all skill levels, this camp is all about building confidence, trying new things, and having FUN with art!

Mrs. Benke is thrilled to bring home everything she recently learned during her Moroccan workshop and share it with you!
Have you ever painted with acrylic gouache watercolors? If not, this is the perfect place to start. These workshops are all about experimenting with color, exploring Moroccan art and culture, trying something new, and enjoying an authentic Moroccan lunch together. No previous painting experience is needed!
KIDS WORKSHOP | NOVEMBER 7
Young artists will:
• Experiment with mixing and painting with gouache
• Create imaginative faces
• Paint a Moroccan-inspired tile pattern
• Make a Berber hat
• Paint a dromedary desert scene
Traditional Moroccan Kids Lunch:
Grilled chicken panini with couscous, oranges, a chebakia cookie, plus Marrakech Jardin Majorelle 150th Anniversary mint tea created in collaboration with a Moroccan botanist.
ADULT WORKSHOP | NOVEMBER 14
Adult artists will:
• Experiment with mixing and painting with gouache
• Create imaginative faces
• Make a small lampshade featuring Majorelle Blue
• Paint a Moroccan woman surrounded by beautiful patterns and plants
Traditional Moroccan Lunch:
Chicken tagine with couscous, fennel-covered almonds, chebakia, and Marrakech Jardin Majorelle 150th Anniversary mint tea created in collaboration with a Moroccan botanist.
These workshops are for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in a new culture, explore a new style of art, enjoy incredible food, and spend time creating.
No painting experience necessary. Just come ready to learn, create, eat, and experience a little piece of Morocco!

MEET MRS. BENKE
MEET MRS. BENKE
Maureen Benke has been teaching children art for over 39 years. As a little girl, she loved playing “teacher” with her dolls. This early creativity not only inspired her to become an educator, but gave her a deep respect for the childhood imagination. Getting to experience a child discovering their own creative potential is the reason she teaches art. Her primary goal is to inspire children to recognize the creativity they uniquely possess.
